Fanart: Occamy

Some more fanart for the lovely film Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. This time of an actual beast, an occamy. Since these creatures are really colourful and cute, I wanted the focus to be on the colour and texture of the occamy. Therefore I kept the background very simple and sketchy with shades of brown.

Fanart: Credence Barebone

Thought I was done with Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them? Hardly! I have plenty of more ideas to draw for this fandom. But the second drawing I did was of Credence Barebone, who looks a bit too happy to be him, I’ll admit. The hair also makes me wince, but I do think it’s a nice portrait. The shadowing in the face and eyes are really pleasing to me.

Drawing: Newt Scamander

When I finally saw Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them I was so completely charmed that I had to fanart for it! Throwback Thursday: Snape

If you’re looking for any logic to how I choose which drawings to show you, there won’t be any. I’ll just pick some random old picture which I like.

snape

I did the sketch for this back in, maybe, 2009. It then sat forgotten as a couple of lines in a sketchpad until last year, when I dredged it up and decided to finish it. For some reason I decided against cleaning up the sketch, even though the hands are a mess. I hadn’t done any work in charcoal for a while, but I’m still rather happy with how this turned out. It’s recogniseable as Snape.
